16 - 20 July 2008 : 'The Interplay between Theory and Practice in Restorative Justice'

The 2008 summer school will take place in Nagykovacsi, Hungary, 15 km north east of Budapest and will deal with following topics:
- the links between theory and practice
- what every restorative justice professional needs to know
- putting theory into practice and practice into theory
The summer school is aimed at trainers, practitioners, researchers and programme managers in victim-offender mediation and otherrestorative justice practices.

The 2007 summer school will take place in Riga, Latvia from 27 June till 1 July. It will deal with following topics:
- support and supervision of mediators / facilitators and trainers.
- evaluation of practice and training.
- discovering new areas for restorative practice.
The summer school is aimed at trainers and programme managers in victim-offender mediation and restorative justice.

The venue will be the Riga Graduate School of Law, Latvia. The Forum selected a hotel where most of the participants will stay, namely Albert Hotel. For more information on the hotel, please go to: http://www.alberthotel.lv.

29 June - 3 July 2005: 'Training for victim-offender mediation and restorative justice'
The 2005 summer school took place in Pilsen, Czech Republic.
The summer school dealt with:
- European recommendations on the training of mediators in criminal matters.
- Training materials and methods of training.
- Exploration of issues to do with the support needed to work effectively as a mediator / restorative justice facilitator.
