It was announced on the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the EFRJ that Tim Chapman resigned from his membership in the Board and the Board co-opted Lucy Jaffé as a new Board Member. 

Updating the 2006 Recommendation on assistance to crime victims, the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers has issued a new Recommendation providing a detailed guidance on rights, services, and support for victims of crime. By calling upon member states to guarantee access to justice for victims, the new Recommendation highlights the use of restorative justice throughout its text. Article 18, in particular, is dedicated to promote the availability of restorative justice services within Europe.

On 10 November the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) voted to adopt the new Constitution of the EFRJ. 

Edit Törzs addressed the Working Group  the following up of the Venice Declaration calling for actions that support the implementation of the Council of Europe Recommendation on restorative justice.
