Implementing a Whole-School Restorative Approach

Registration is closed for this event
A practice-oriented online skills course for those who seek to implement a restorative change in their school communities led by a leading expert of the field, Dr Belinda Hopkins.

This course invites participants to learn about the values values and principles that underpin restorative practices in schools. By the end of the course attendants will have learned and practiced core communication and facilitation skills and used these in a range of restorative interactions, all of which can help transform the environment if a school.

The model of practice used is the one developed by Dr Belinda Hopkins called 5:5:5 – 5 core beliefs, a 5-step framework based on these beliefs, and 5 applications that can be used across the school on a daily basis, in offices, classrooms and around the school building.

This innovative framework will build a thriving and supportive and learning community and work environment in schools. Skills learned on this course go beyond the classroom; and offer a systematic and proactive approach to conflicts and to create a caring environment for good relations.

The event is a collaboration between the EFRJ and Dr Belinda Hopkins, the Director of Transforming Conflict — National Centre for Restorative Approaches in Youth and Community Settings in the UK.
