In 2023,a new film on restorative justice was released in France. It brought restorative justice in the centre of public attention, making it widely known to a general public completely unaware of it previously.

"All your faces" (original title: "Je verrai toujours vos visages", literally "I will always see your faces"), written and directed by Jeanne Herry, will be screened at Cinema ZED in Leuven during the International Restorative Justice Week, followed by a debate hosted by the European Forum for Restorative Justice.

Tickets can be purchased directly from the website of Cinema ZED starting from October (more info below).

The film

In recent years, the restorative justice field in France have extensively advanced.
The film follows the story of three restorative justice practitioners (Judith, Fanny and Michel) that facilitate victim-offender dialogues using different methodologies adapted to different settings.
In parallel, the film shows the dialogues between Nassim, Issa, and Thomas, sentenced for theft with violence, and Gregoire, Nawelle and Sabine, victims of home jacking, robbery and purse snatching, and the restorative justice meeting of Chloe, victim of incestuous rape, with her stepbrother. On their journey, there is anger and hope, silence and words, alliances and heartbreaks, awareness and regained confidence, and, only sometimes, reparation.
