Call for Hosting EFRJ Events

After the successful EFRJ Conferences, Seminars/ Symposiums and Summer Schools of the past years, hosted by active EFRJ members across Europe, we are re-opening the call: who is willing to take up this challenge, and host the EFRJ community in the upcoming years?

The deadline for proposals is end September 2024.

This taster workshop on storytelling and restorative justice (11/12/2024) focuses on how traditional stories support restorative justice and are also provocations to think in new ways as they invite the listener to connect personal experience to collective understanding. A 3-h workshop will follow, organised for a small group of participants in January.

As part of our REstART initiatives, we organise a film screening in the city that hosts the EFRJ, Leuven, on 12 December at 19:30. The documentary "Au delà de nos larmes" tells the experience of the collective "Retissons du lien", composed by people with different types of lived experience of the terrorist attacks in Brussels 2026.

This half-day online workshop on restorative stories (15/01/2025) is a deep dive into how folk and fairy tales enhance restorative practice and support restorative culture change within ourselves, our communities, organisations and wider contexts. The workshop is limited to 24 participants: register now!

This webinar has the objective to focus on how restorative justice is implemented with children in contact with the law (not necessarily in conflict with the law) and on the effects that restorative justice can obtain for victims, offenders and the community. Register now (for free)!

The third edition of the EFRJ's Winter Academy takes place between 3 - 7 February 2025 in Leuven (Belgium) offering 2 practice-oriented courses on A) Restorative Justice and Imprisonment & B) Basic Restorative Training Skills. Registration is open, early bird fees available until 15th of December 2024.

Join us in Athens (16-17 May 2025) for the 13th international seminar of the European Forum for Restorative Justice, dedicated to children and migration.

Learn about restorative justice and its special areas through our online events.

We offer each year a number of online and in-the-room courses; and on request: tailor made training events in various fields restorative justice and related subjects.

Events that are organised in the framework of projects we are engaged in.

We aim to offer platform to explore and discuss the most recent challenges and developments related to restorative justice through our conferences organised every second year (in May or June, in even years only, for about 350-380 participants).

Every two years (odd years only), between May or June, the EFRJ organises an international thematic seminar, limited to 120-130 participants, hosted by its members in a different location in Europe.

"Protect and Empower the Person Harmed"- Take part in the #RJWeek 2021! Check what is happening throughout the week full of events all around the world celebrating the power of restorative justice! Do you plan to do your event? Submit it to us, so we can disseminate it!

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, at the end of the year 2020 (30 November - 5 December), the European Forum for Restorative Justice organised an online festival bringing together arts, research and practice with the aim of offering a forum to discuss justice, solidarity and repair in today’s societies.

Our summer schools concentrate on various areas of restorative justice every second year.

Since its establishment in 2012, the Criminal Justice Platform Europe (EuroPris, CEP and EFRJ) organised thematic seminars and summer courses bringing together professionals from these different fields, i.e. prison, probation and restorative justice.
