The practice-oriented courses of the EFRJ Winter Academies are the most special training opportunities to learn about restorative justice and its specialised applications in an inspiring and unique context.
Participants of third edition of the Winter Academy organised by the EFRJ in Leuven can choose from two courses, Imprisonment and Restorative Justice and Basic Restorative Training Skills.
Course A) Imprisonment and Restorative Justice is designed to prepare professionals to work restoratively with the prisoner, his/her social network (like family, partner, children), the victim, and local community. It aims to Both courses are full at the moment, but you can sign up for the waiting list. on the lived experience of imprisonment and the participation of prisoners in restorative practices. It is informed by research and practice in the experience of prisoners of participating in restorative justice. This training is delivered by senior experts in the field, Dr Bart Claes and Roberto Moreno.
Course B) Basic Restorative Training Skills is a foundational course that equips trainers with the most essential skills to facilitate learning, and lead the group fostering active participation and involvement, in an atmosphere inspired by the restorative justice values and principles. The course is recommended for anyone who aims to deliver training according to the ethos of restorative justice principles. It is facilitated by insightful and senior trainers Gael Cochrane and Tom Mellor.
Early bird registration was available until 15th of December 2024. Currently both courses are fully booked, however you can sign up for the waiting list.
The registration will be completely closed on 28th of January 2025. EFRJ members could sign up for a discounted fee. Is the registration fee a barrier for you? You could apply for a waiver until the 5th of December 2024.
The event takes place in Leuven (Belgium), between 3-7 February 2025.
