The constitution of the European Forum for Restorative Justice was adopted on December 8, 2000 in Leuven (Belgium). It lays down the aims, objectives, activities and principles of functioning of the organisation, and governs the division of work between the different bodies of the organisation.

MEMORANDUM
The constitution of the European Forum for Restorative Justice (EFRJ) is accompanied by a memorandum. This text describes restorative justice and its development and explains the reasons why the EFRJ has become an official organisation. The memorandum is not part of the constitution and therefore has no legal status.

CODE OF INTERNAL REGULATIONS
From time to time, there is a need to adopt internal regulations in order to govern the organisation. These internal regulations are being codified in a Code of Internal Regulations.
