Relational & Restorative Practices in Schools

A Year-Long Global Webinar Series for Educators

Series Description

This international webinar series, organised by the EFRJ Restorative Schools Working Group, supports educators in building relational, restorative school communities where connection, belonging, and accountability replace punishment and exclusion. Across seven live sessions, participants will explore practical, trauma-informed strategies for strengthening school culture, responding to behaviour, and leading change in sustainable ways.

Who Is This Series For?

Designed for educators worldwide, including teachers and staff, school and district leaders, counsellors, social workers, and student support professionals - anyone committed to creating safer, more connected, and more equitable schools.

Why This Series Matters

Schools today are navigating increasing complexity—student dysregulation, disengagement, absenteeism, polarization, and identity-based harm. This series helps educators:

  • Respond to behavior through a restorative and trauma-informed lens

  • Build cultures of belonging, trust, and accountability

  • Re-engage students without punishment or shame

  • Lead relational change without burnout

  • Address common concerns and resistance to Restorative Practices with clarity

The focus is practical, realistic, and grounded in everyday school life.

What To Expect

Each 75-minute live webinar includes:

  • Practical teaching from experienced international facilitators

  • Real-world school examples and tools

  • Time for reflection and application

Live interpretation in multiple languages (varies by session)
