“Pay-What-You-Can” model
Since few years, the EFRJ has been exploring different ways to make its events more inclusive (e.g. granting waivers to the fees, or by proposing the “Pay-What-You-Can” model). The income of EFRJ events is crucial to support the costs of the organization, but fees are not meant to be an obstacle for your participation.
The “Pay-What-You-Can” model allows you to choose how much to pay for the conference, based on 3 different fees. You are invited to register with the average fee (see table below). We calculated that we need 260 participants to cover the costs for the 3-day conference (including one social dinner and one local field visit), the opening reception and the 2023 European RJ Award ceremony. Costs include the rental of the venue; the travel, accommodation and food of keynote speakers and EFRJ organizing team; printed and other materials disseminated in the conference bag; lunch and coffee breaks and one social dinner.
If you are able and wish to contribute more, you can pay the solidarity fee (+ 50EUR). This will support others to pay a lower fee. If you wish to sponsor other services, please get in touch! If the average fee is too high for you, you can pay the reduced fee (- 50EUR) without giving any explanation. If even the reduced fee is an obstacle for you to participate, you have time until 15 February to apply for a partial or full waiver to the fee (more info below).
