Our current Finance & Administrative Officer (FAO), Rik Defrere, will retire soon. We are searching for someone to take his position, starting from January-February 2023.
The FAO is responsible for assisting the Executive Director (ED) in all the financial and administrative aspects of the organisation. Central to this is to actively managing the day to day accounting and administrative operations of the organisation, and providing support to colleagues and members. In addition to being highly independent, an excellent communicator and a great team player, our ideal candidate will also have outstanding analytical and time management abilities. The FAO will actively contribute at the working culture at the Secretariat, which is based on mutual respect, cooperation and trust.

The EFRJ offers internships, which are temporary (unpaid) work opportunities at the Secretariat of the European Forum for Restorative Justice. This is a meaningful opportunity for anyone showing interest in restorative justice and willing to offer their time and skills to the organisation.
The only prerequisites required to apply are: 1. Commitment to the EFRJ’s mission, vision and goals; 2. Fluency in English (oral and written skills); 3. Basic IT user (emails; Word documents; Google apps). Interns may work in person in the EFRJ office in Leuven or they can complete a remote internship, depending on the circumstances, type of work, EFRJ requests and individual needs. Internships are 4-6 months long (extendable to 1 year) and require a minimum work time of 15 hours/ week (negotiable on a case-to-case basis: lower or higher work time can be agreed on).
