The European Forum for Restorative Justice is organising an online Winter Academy, a high-quality learning opportunity for those interested in getting involved in restorative justice. The event will consist of two introductory courses (Introduction to Restorative Justice and Introduction to Restorative Responses to Serious Harm) and three lectures (insight talks) with a linked Q&A ('question and answer') session. The 2020 Winter Academy will be taking place online.

Introduction to Restorative Justice
12 - 15 November
A course on the basics of restorative justice for policy makers, managers, and full-time workers (social workers, community activists, teachers, psychologists, police, prosecutors, judges and prison officers) and volunteers who wish to implement restorative justice. The concepts and skills have relevance for people working in the criminal justice system, in schools, workplaces, healthcare settings, community and other organisations.
The course will be led by EFRJ qualified trainers and will take place online.
Restorative Responses to Serious Harm
24 - 27 November
A course on applying restorative justice in cases of serious harm for policy makers, managers, and full-time workers and volunteers who wish to implement restorative justice in this area.
The course will be led by EFRJ qualified trainers and will take place online.
Insight talks
Available from 15 November
Topics:
- The application of restorative justice values, principles and practices to a range of different contexts (family, schools, neighbourhoods, cities, organisations etc.)
- Developing restorative cultures and leadership.
- The role of community in restoring and preventing harm.
The talks will be held by EFRJ qualified trainers and will be pre-recorded.
A related interactive Q&A session will be organised with the presenters on 7 December at 5 pm CET.
